About Me

My name is James Andrew Staunton and I’ve worked for 25 years as a Marriage and Family Psychotherapist.

I come to this dream work from some 30 years of my own dreamwork, some of it with analysts and some through my own exploration and development. Recent years have been the most gratifying and represent the culmination of development.

I also have 25 years as a working psychotherapist in general practice. I am now focused on doing Jungian style dreamwork exclusively. I am in my mid-sixties now.

I have learned the lay of the inner landscape through my own work and your dreams will be our primary guide. Where do they take you? What is their pace and how do they correct course? After all these years, my instinct and intuition are finely tuned and will bring accurate and sensitive insights to your path. In my view, dreamwork is the real holy work.

Everyone is unique in the inner path that their individuation takes. I suspect we live in a time where inner work is being pressed on some of us, whether ready or not. Much is changing in the human psyche today — new vistas are opening up in consciousness for humankind.

I painted the images on this site circa 2000. I was engaged at that time in an intense period of Jungian dreamwork . They have come back to me in recent times as prophetic of changes occurring in me.
