What Happens in Dreamwork Sessions?
If you are drawn to this kind of work, you probably have already engaged with your dreams to some extent. You may be struck by their oddness while at the same time feel this is something significant and important—worth leaning into- to understand and engage.
We could quickly turn to the dreams, which may already have their own introduction — a dream can set the stage for what needs attention and work. Your unconscious has its own agenda in mind for your work, and our work will always be informed by the content of the dreams as they appear. As we work, the dreams will respond to the new attention you bring to them, and will thereby change and develop. They may also correct us if we missed something important.
My insights and intuition will help make sense of the dreams. But you will grow in your ability to see your own truth in them as you learn the symbolic lay of the dreamscape. As you grow, so will your dreams grow with you.
I can recognize where we are from having been there myself through years of my own dream analysis. Your associations to images or people in the dreams, your intuitions or feelings, and your life history will absolutely inform where the work goes with your dreams. It is the greater you leading you forward.
If my interpretation fails, you will know it and should feel free to say so. If my interpretation works, a light will go on, and you may feel the "Ah ha" moment of recognition. It is certainly a collaboration of minds and experiences that makes dreamwork so rich and productive.
It will be very important that you share freely with me as we go. Don't self-edit, or if you do, admit to it. Resistance is okay and expected. Honesty with curiosity is always the right way to go. The greater the honesty, the greater the reward and progress.
This is ultimately an encounter with your own deeper nature that changes you — heart and soul.
